Mid Wales boasts three of the new Cycle Break Centres in Wales – this one in BRECON and two others in RHAYADER and KNIGHTON / PRESTEIGNE. Each offers a series of 5 superb circular day rides for you to enjoy, making them an ideal base for a holiday with friends and family.

Cycling in the Brecon Beacons National Park

The Brecon Beacons National Park covers 520 square miles of high mountains and peaceful valleys. It is dominated by the Beacons themselves, the highest being Pen y Fan at 886m. These cycle routes follow quiet country lanes and tracks through the National Park area, often along river valleys, always through spectacular scenery.

Ride A – Brynich lock and Brecon Canal (6 miles)
Ride B – Around the Shores of Llangors (16 miles)
Ride C – To the Top of Talybont Reservoir (26 miles)
Ride D Sarn Helen & the Roman Roads (22 miles)
Ride E – Llanthony Priory and the Gospel Pass (52 miles)

Brecon is on the A40, 20 miles north-west of Abergavenny.
